Ezine is a more generic term commonly applied to small magazines and newsletters. Some may call ezines cyberzine or hyperzine, but they still remain some useless online articles which nobody reads. In fact you would like to write articles like that just to get some links to your website or blog. If you don't have those, then don't waste your time and try writing on hubpages.
If you have adsense, amazon or eBay accounts you can start making money from writing. Just be sure you are writing consistent and interesting info. Not some boring shit like you are reading now :)
BTW on hub pages you will get help with determining whether article is popular or not. There is a helpful tracking system and friendly readers which will point out what is great ad what is crap.
